This privacy policy describes how the little memo mobile and web app (“the app”) handles information about you. little memo is published by littledots studio, an imprint of Bytegold e.U. (about littledots studio). Bytegold e.U. is the data controller responsible for the app under applicable data-protection law.
Summary
little memo is an offline-first note-taking app. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Every note and preference you enter stays on your own device. There are no user accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs.
Information little memo collects about you
None. little memo does not collect personal data, account information, contact details, location, device identifiers, usage statistics, crash reports, advertising IDs, or any other information about you.
Information little memo stores on your device
The notes and app preferences you create are stored locally on your own device, using the operating system’s standard local-storage facilities (AsyncStorage on iOS and Android, the browser’s local storage on the web/PWA). This data:
- never leaves your device,
- is not transmitted to littledots studio, Bytegold e.U., or any third party,
- is accessible only to the little memo app on that device,
- is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data from your device’s settings.
Sharing with third parties
little memo does not share any information with third parties, because it does not collect any. The app contains no analytics, no advertising networks, no crash reporters, and no other third-party SDKs that could transmit data off-device.
Permissions
little memo does not request runtime permissions for camera, microphone, contacts, location, photos, or storage access beyond the app’s own private storage area provided by the operating system.
Children
little memo does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). The app is suitable for all ages.
Your rights and your data
Because no personal data ever leaves your device, there is no server-side record for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. You can:
- Delete all your data at any time by uninstalling little memo or by clearing the app’s storage from your device’s system settings.
If you live in the EU/EEA, the UK, or another region with comparable data-protection law, you nonetheless retain your statutory rights with respect to Bytegold e.U. as the data controller. To exercise those rights, contact us using the address below.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at https://littledots.com/privacy/little-memo/ with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will also be reflected in the app’s release notes.
