To install:
- Unzip the downloaded file.
- Open
chrome://extensionsin a new tab. - Toggle "Developer mode" on (top right).
- Click "Load unpacked" and pick the unzipped folder.
Chrome warns that a sideloaded extension is unverified. The one from the Chrome Web Store does not get that warning.
Firefox and Firefox-based

Signing in
The extension's Sign in button opens littledots.com, and once you are signed in there, the extension uses that session.
What it does
- Open the popup on any page. littledots looks up the page's address and offers what fits: add it to a trip, pin it to your map, or start a new trip.
- Right-click anywhere for Send to littledots, with entries for the page's address, the selected text, the selected text as a what3words address, or a link.
- It recognizes Google Maps and Apple Maps places, Booking.com and Hotels.com pages, OpenStreetMap, what3words addresses and plain links.
What it does not do
- It does not read pages on its own. It only sees the address of the tab you have open, or the text you select.
- It carries no analytics, tracking or ads. Its requests to littledots.com include your cookies so it can act as you.
