Life is not a journey
Most of us inherited a frame where life is a journey.
There's a destination. There's a point at the end. You push toward it.
Alan Watts didn't buy that.
"We thought of life by analogy with a journey, a pilgrimage, which had a serious purpose at the end. [...] But we missed the point the whole way along. It was a musical thing, and you were supposed to sing or to dance while the music was being played."

Travel is how we dance to life
There's a whole world out there, and we don't want to miss any of it. The music is already playing.
Finding your people
If you love travel like we do, you've probably noticed: most of your peers don't share the same bug. They might travel. They might enjoy it. But the passion just isn't the same. They see travel as a break from life. For you travel IS life.
You come home buzzing about a place and there's no one nearby who quite gets why. Your people exist. The ones who plan the next trip the moment they're back from one. The ones who treat a long weekend as an equal opportunity for an adventure as a trip around the world. They're just scattered, and you haven't met them yet.
That's the gap littledots is meant to close.
Things you won't find here
littledots is a community for people who love travel and want to share that love with others who get it. Regular travelers for whom going somewhere new is one of the best things they get to do.
We want it to stay that way:
- No influencers.
- No status games.
- No shills.
So we're building a place where people can share the fun. Where you can geek out about somewhere you went, and someone actually wants to hear it.
Painting the world together
Everywhere we collectively went lights up on one map. Countries fill, anonymous, no names. Just the community's year, all in one picture.
Nobody is credited. Nobody is ranked. It's not a competition. Just an honest picture of what we did together.
What it asks of you
Travel. Drop your dots. That's pretty much it.
When you're ready, welcome someone new. Be their guide.
No posts to write. No streaks to keep. No numbers next to your name. Just go places, share where you went, and have fun with the people who find you.
