Early preview
Looking for your early feedback!
The browser extension has not been submitted for review on the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons yet. While we fine-tune our release candidates, you can sideload the latest builds below.
Chrome and Chrome-based (Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi)
Download .zip (latest build)
To install:
- Unzip the downloaded file.
- Open
chrome://extensionsin a new tab. - Toggle “Developer mode” on (top right).
- Click “Load unpacked” and pick the unzipped folder.
Chrome will warn that sideloaded extensions are unverified. That goes away once the Chrome Web Store listing is live.
Firefox and Firefox-based
Download .xpi (latest build)
Firefox Stable rejects unsigned .xpi files, so you’ll need Developer Edition or Nightly until the Firefox Add-ons listing is signed. Drag the .xpi onto a Firefox window to install.
After installing
Log in on littledots.com once. The extension picks up your session automatically. There’s no separate login inside the extension.
What it does
- Open the popup on any page. We pull the tab URL, look it up via the littledots ingest API, and offer the right thing to do with it: file as a trip item, pin to your map, or start a new trip.
- Right-click anywhere to access “Send to littledots” with sub-items for the page URL, the selected text, the selected text as a what3words triple, or a link.
- Recognized formats: Google Maps and Apple Maps places, Booking.com and Hotels.com pages, OpenStreetMap, what3words triples, and bare URLs.
What it does not do
- Read page contents on its own. It only sees the URL of the tab you have open or the text you explicitly select.
- No analytics, no tracking, no ads. Cookies attach to littledots.com requests so the extension can act as you, that is all.
